I'm wondering if you might do better to not send people away from your blog with the read more. It discourages people from reading the whole article, and as I understand it, hurts your bounce rate...time people are on your blog.
ReplyDeleteIs the page it takes you to...someone else's page or your page? You might if it's yours, cut and paste the full article here. Double your readership. Bloggers tend not to visit webpages much compared to blogs, because they know no one is going to return the visit. If however you're trying to get attention to your page, include the link at the end with something like...for further information on other important eco topics, please visit our webpage?
Thanks for the advice, Sandy! The reason I have the "Read More" format is that most of these posts (not this one, however) are articles I've written for hire but don't own the rights to. I am legally allowed to link to them, but not to reprint them in their entirety.
